Sick of Paper Clutter? Open your mail as SOON as you handle it--recycle excess paper like junk mail, envelopes and flyers inside bills. If there's no dispute, a need to take back the item, or a tax write-off advantage, purge the extra papers/bills/receipts you've unnecessarily been holding onto. File what you need to keep--recycle the rest. Create the following folders to keep in the very front of your file cabinet: "To Pay," "To Do--Now," "To Do--Personal," To Do--Business/Work." Keeping your "To Do--Now" keeps papers off your desk so you don't feel so overwhelmed, while still staying focused on your immediate tasks.

From the Desk of an Organizer


It's SPRINGTIME! And one of the busiest times for me as a Professional Organizer. It's also the time of my son's 1st birthday--he has a very special birthday close to my heart, an Earth Day Birthday, April 22nd. After a 77 hour labor, resulting in cutting him out on the 4th day, exactly two weeks late from his due date, it was obviously a meant-to-be birthday, and on the day I had always hoped for since finding out I was pregnant, just never thought would happen!

He now shares his birthday with his uncle Rigel and Honorary Aunty Lisa, as well as honors his departed Grandfather, an environmental science teacher, who he is named after. I'm very excited that my Earth Day baby is here and can't believe it's already been a year! I look forward to posting bday pics on facebook to share with everyone.

As for the work side of things, I want to ensure you that my emails will stay short, sweet and to the point. And in honor of Earth Day, you'll be happy to know that you are making a difference, because every time I send an email campaign with NamasteLight, they plant a tree! Yay!
