1) I tell all clients to purge expired freezer/pantry items e Jan/July. Take a weekend every Jan and July to purge expired foods, meds, outgrown clothes/shoes. This maintenance keeps your day to day life sane, year round.
2) Watch comedy tv/stand up/fav old movie/listen to audio book while you slave away in the kitchen.
3) Multi-task. Put away dishes/wipe counter/check for moldy fruit while you race the boiling water, beeping microwave, oven.
4) For weekly fridge/perishable item upkeep, day before trash day is designated Left Over Night. Toss all bad foods on Left Over Night. This also helps save money for being more food aware to prevent food waste. Wipe fridge as needed on Left Over Night. Taking bad food out for weekly trash pick up lowers infestations of bugs/raccoons/rodents.
Reality:
Kitchens + pantries + fridges/freezers usually take 2.5-3 sessions. 2 days to pull everything out, toss expireds, donate not keeps, move excess to baker's rack in garage. .5-1 session to create new custom systems for the family based on daily flow. This new system can now easily be kept up for years.

Professional Organizer
Creates functional systems for belongings and spaces: categorizes/sorts like items, guides clients through keep/donate/discard decisions, determines where items should live, and creates customized, long-term organizational and storage solutions. Incorporates space planning, furniture placement, and styling using the client’s existing belongings to improve function and flow.
House Cleaner
Cleans the home: scrubbing/wiping surfaces, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, appliances, dusting, fan blades, baseboards, etc. Usually cleans around belongings rather than determining where belongings should live.
Housekeeper
Maintains the household: laundry, changing bedding, dishes, tidying, picking up toys/clothes, putting belongings away, light cleaning, and general household upkeep.
Mommy’s Helper
Provides broad household and family assistance that may include tidying, laundry, errands, groceries, meal help, childcare, and kid transportation. Exact duties vary by family.
Interior Decorator
Focuses primarily on aesthetics: furniture, décor, textiles, colors, lighting, accessories, and styling to create a desired look and feel.
Interior Designer
